Applications are invited from the outstanding students of Balochistan and erstwhile FATA who intend to pursue undergraduate studies in HEC-recognised public/private sector universities/Degree Awarding Institutions of Pakistan.

The scholarships are being offered for the academic year 2024-2 5in all areas of study/disciplines under the project entitled Provision of Higher Education Opportunities for the Students of Balochistan & FATA (Phase – II) Batch-V. Four-year Scholarship Program Announced for Students of Balochistan, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Rukbali Districts.

Eligibility:

F.A/F.Sc/A- Level or equivalent with minimum 60 % marks.

Fee: The applicants are required to deposit Rs.500/- (Non-refundable) as an application fee in HBL Account Number 17427900133401 and should upload the scanned/Image online while applying. The applicant must keep the original deposit slip safe for future requirements.

In Punjab universities, 3200 students from these areas will be given 100% scholarships and 16852 students will be given 50% scholarships. For the first time in its 72-year history, such a large scholarship program from Punjab. Students from Balochistan, Gilgit-Baltistan, and tribal districts who enter Punjab educational institutions on open merit will not be expelled from the university due to the non-availability of fees. All public universities in Punjab will provide 50% scholarship at their own expense and a 50% discount on hostel fees.

The applicant must have acquired the requisite academic qualification on or before the closing date. Result-awaiting students are not eligible to apply. Only applicants having domicile/local certificates of Balochistan and Erstwhile FATA are eligible to apply.

The applicants who have studied at F.Sc (Intermediate level) in the institutions located within the districts of Balochistan or Agency or FRs of Erstwhile FATA fall under the category BALOCHISTAN IN and FATA IN respectively. Those who have studied at F.Sc (Intermediate level) in institutions outside Balochistan and Erstwhile FATA/FRs fall under the BALOCHISTAN OUT and FATA OUT categories respectively.

90% of scholarships will be awarded on a population basis to those students, who have done FA/FSc/I.Com/A Level or equivalent from the districts/agencies / FRs of Erstwhile FATA and Balochistan and they will fall under category FATA IN and Balochistan IN. 10% of scholarships will be awarded to Balochistan Out and Fata Out Category.

The scholarship will be awarded to candidates for Undergraduate studies in only HEC-recognized public/Private sector Universities/Degree Awarding Institutes of Pakistan. The duration of the scholarship for an undergraduate degree is 1 year extendable annually up to 4-5 years as per the program enrolled subject to satisfactory academic performance.

Candidates will be short-listed based on Aptitude Test Scores (conducted by HEC) and Academic Credentials Scores. Academic records will have a 50% weightage and the Aptitude test will have a 50% weightage for the undergraduate program.

HEC has initiated a need-based scholarship program to provide financial support to Pakistani students The students who have a reasonably good academic record but are unable to take up higher education just because of financial constraints are eligible for a scholarship Scholarship is based on an assessment of need and merit Selection wit be made based on the provided information on the prescribed form after due authentication. The scholarship stipend will be PKR. 60001- per month plus tuition fee Scholarships will be awarded to those students who are presently enrolled in academic session 2024-25.
