Online Apply PTA Tax-Free Mobile Phone Registration Facility For Overseas Pakistanis

The Government of Pakistan has announced a tax-free mobile phone registration facility for overseas Pakistanis and foreigners from PTA for four months.  This step of temporary phone registration has been taken by FBR and PTA in collaboration with FIA and mobile phone operators.

This system has been designed for overseas Pakistanis and foreign nationals who do not want to keep their mobile phones permanently in Pakistan. Only one mobile phone law will apply to them. To avail this facility, they will have to provide passport number, dates of coming and returning to Pakistan, mobile phone SIM card and mobile phone IMEI number.

After the 120-day stay of overseas Pakistanis and foreigners in Pakistan, the registration done under this facility will automatically end and their IMEI number will be suspended, after which the phone will not be able to use on local networks. If this person travels to Pakistan again, he will have to reapply for this temporary facility.
