Based on the sighting of the moon, residents of the UAE could potentially enjoy 4 to 5 days off for Eid-ul-Fitr, incorporating the usual weekend breaks. The critical decision rests with the UAE Moon Sighting Committee, which is scheduled to convene on the 29th of Ramadan, corresponding to March 29th.
Should the crescent moon be visible on this date, the Eid holidays will be officially declared from Sunday, March 30th, through to Tuesday, April 1st. Factoring in the weekend, this scenario would result in a total of four days of holiday.

However, if the moon remains unseen on March 29th, Ramadan will extend to its full 30 days. Notably, the UAE has already announced an additional holiday for the 30th of Ramadan this year. Consequently, if the moon sighting is delayed, the total Eid-ul-Fitr holiday period, inclusive of the weekend, will lengthen to five days.
It is anticipated that the Eid moon might be sighted on March 30th in the UAE, indicating that Eid-ul-Fitr could potentially fall on March 31st.
