The Punjab government has announced to provision of 50,000 solar systems across the province under the “Chief Minister’s Roshan Gharana Program . Get Rid of The Bill with Light”. Solar systems will be provided to 50,000 citizens of Punjab at a cost of Rs1.26 billion.
Under the Roshan Gharana program, citizens can also get loans in easy installments for property purchase, construction, or renovation of a house. Citizens can get loans equivalent to 85% of their plot or construction cost and 30% of the cost of renovation.

Citizens will have to repay this loan in the form of easy monthly installments over a period of 3 to 25 years. Salaried and non-salaried citizens of Punjab province can apply for this program. Salaried citizens must have national identity cards and non-resident RDA accounts and have been in service for at least two consecutive years.
It is mandatory for the non-salaried class to have a national identity card, non-resident RDA account and have a personal business for at least two consecutive years. In order to apply for the Roshan Gharana program, citizens will have to fill an online form and provide all the required documents, including passport size color photographs, copy of identity card, bank statement and property allotment, transfer or title proof.
