USAID-funded Merit and Needs-Based Scholarship Program Online Apply

Since 2004 Higher Education Commission (HEC) is working with USAID in offering scholarships on the basis of merit, as wall as financial need to the deserving students. The USAID-funded Merit and Needs-Based Scholarship Program (MN8SP) is consistent with the HECs objectives to support financially deserving and high performing students, widen access to quality education and encourage interest in fields vital to Pakistan’s development. The United States has issued scholarships to 40 students from Punjab, with which these students will be able to complete their education in seven universities of Punjab. Made possible through USAID’s Merit and Needs Based Scholarship Program, these scholarships will help students complete their degrees at seven universities in Punjab.

Eligibility Criteria:

Scholarships are offered for Females only, who have secured admission in 2021 academic session In 30 public and private participating Institution. Masters/MBA/MS/MPhil/Education. Teaching degree programs in selected disciplines allowed under the scholar’s Program

Female students who fulfill criteria of need and will provide all the information required under the rules. MNBSP reserves 50 percent of its scholarships for women students, creating a positive legacy spanning 75 years of US government support for higher education.

USAID-funded Merit and Needs-Based Scholarship Program

The USAID-funded MNBSP, a partnership between HEC and 30 Pakistani universities, provides university scholarships for students to pursue degrees at selected Pakistani universities. More than six thousand students have been given scholarships for higher education.

How to Apply?

Students are required to apply through following HCC Online Application System www.acholarahtp.hacgov.pk

Submit printout of application form along with supporting document to the Student Financial Aid Off icon of university. NOT send hard copy of the application form to HCC.

Note:

Two years associate degree programs and the nomenclature of BA/BSc programs are excluded. Scholarship award will be made strictly on merit whereas HEC reserves the right to cancel the scholarship award if the information provided by the applicant is found dubious and incorrect at time of physical verification.

In public sector universities, admissions secured on self-sustain/ self-support/ soil-finance basis, or in evening programs with higher fee structures are ineligible. Student availing any other scholarship or continuous grant are ineligible.
