PSL2025 Edition: Waqar Younis Calls for More Teams

PSL 2025 Edition: Waqar Younis urge Teams to updade all cricket team. The legendary fast bowler, Waqar Younis, has put forward a suggestion to expand the number of teams in the Pakistan Super League (PSL). In a recent tweet, he reached out to the Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Mohsin Naqvi, proposing that the current lineup of 6 teams is insufficient for a prestigious brand like the PSL.

He believes that for the PSL 2025 edition of the league, at least 8 teams should participate to make the competition more exciting and inclusive.

Waqar Younis also raised a question regarding the women’s exhibition matches that were a part of the PSL last year. He inquired why these matches were not organized during the current season, emphasizing the importance of promoting women’s cricket alongside the men’s league.

Furthermore, Waqar suggested the creation of a separate channel and setup dedicated to Urdu commentary during PSL matches. This move would cater to the local audience, providing them with a more relatable and enjoyable viewing experience.

It’s worth noting that Islamabad United recently clinched their third PSL title by defeating Multan Sultans in a nail-biting final match of the 2024 edition.

Waqar Younis’s suggestions have sparked a conversation about the future of the PSL and how it can continue to grow and attract more fans from across the country and beyond.
