Starting mini petrol pump licence in Pakistan requires obtaining a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the relevant government authorities. While the traditional way of obtaining a NOC involves lengthy procedures and visits to government offices, the process has been streamlined with the introduction of online application systems. In this article, we will guide you through the steps involved in applying for a petrol pump NOC online in Pakistan.

How to Apply for Petrol Pump NOC Online in Pakistan

Applying for a petrol pump NOC online in Pakistan is a convenient way to save time and energy as compared to the traditional way of visiting government offices. The online application process is simple, quick, and user-friendly. Moreover, it allows applicants to track the status of their applications easily.

The required documents for a petrol pump NOC are:

  • Copy of the applicant’s CNIC
  • Copy of the land ownership documents
  • Copy of the building plan
  • Copy of the NOC from the local government
  • Two photographs of the applicant

The application fee for a petrol pump NOC is Rs. 5,000. The processing time for a petrol pump NOC is 30 days. Once your application is approved, you will be issued a petrol pump NOC. This NOC will allow you to operate a petrol pump in Pakistan.

Steps for Online Application

Follow the below-mentioned steps to apply for a petrol pump NOC online in Pakistan:

1. Registration on the e-Petroleum System

Firstly, visit the e-Petroleum System (https://eportal.ppra.org.pk/epetrol) and register your account by providing your personal information such as name, address, NIC, email, and contact number.

2. Login to e-Petroleum System

After successful registration, login to the e-Petroleum System using your registered email and password.

3. Apply for NOC

Click on the ‘Apply for NOC’ option and fill out the required information such as name, address, and contact number of the applicant, location of the proposed petrol pump, and other related details.

4. Upload Required Documents

Upload scanned copies of the required documents such as NIC, property documents, layout plan of the petrol pump, environmental clearance certificate, fire safety clearance certificate, and undertaking of compliance with the OGRA regulations.

5. Pay Application Fee

6. Track Application Status

Finally, track the status of your application online using the application ID provided by the e-Petroleum System.

The Chief Minister has directed all the concerned departments to issue NOCs as soon as possible and end unnecessary delay in issuance and said that NOCs of petrol pumps should be issued immediately by fulfilling the legal requirements, transparency in issuance of NOCs. It should be ensured, which will increase the confidence of the citizens in the government. A new annexure called Annex L has been introduced in the sales tax returns for oil marketing companies. The oil marketing companies have to provide details of petroleum development levy along with computerized national identity card numbers of purchasers of petroleum products as per the format given in Annexure L.
