General Election 2024 in Pakistan

The Returning Officers will display the revised lists of candidates today for the General Elections 2024. Today is the last date for candidates to withdraw their nomination papers. The Returning Officers will issue election marks to the candidates on January 13. Voting will be held on February 8 in connection with the general elections.

General Election 2024 in Pakistan

Election Commission has issued a notification for the appointment of District Returning Officers, Returning Officers and Assistant Returning Officers for the General elections 2024.

Sadiq Sanjrani will contest from NA 260 from Quetta while he will also be a candidate from Constituency 32 of the Provincial Assembly. Former Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar will contest as an independent in the general elections. Chaudhry Nisar received nomination papers from NA-54. Muhammad Shoaib Siddiqui has submitted nomination papers from NA 119 and PP 170 to the Election Commission.

Shoaib Siddiqui will also be a candidate from 2 constituencies 149 and 150 of Punjab Assembly from Lahore. From pp. 166, Dr. Murad Ross has submitted the papers. Collection of nomination papers for NA 46, 47 and 48 is going on in full swing. Mian Aslam, Kashif Chaudhry and Malik Abdul Aziz of Jamaat-e-Islami submitted the papers. 320 candidates including Zeeshan Shah, Raja Khurram Nawaz, Syed Zafar Ali Shah, Shoaib Shaheen have received their nomination papers so far.

Election Commission appointed ROs, DROs and AROs for 859 constituencies of National and Provincial Assembly. According to the notification, Deputy Commissioner Islamabad has been appointed District Returning Officer for the federal capital, 36 District Returning Officers have been appointed for the National and Provincial Assembly seats in the Election Commission of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. In NA 141, Pir Syed Imran Ahmad Shah of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, Chaudhry Noreez Shakoor Khan of Stability Pakistan Party, Rana Aftab Ahmad Khan of PTI have obtained papers. A total of 17 candidates from NA-142 and a total of 18 candidates from NA-143 have received nomination papers.

General Election 2024 in Pakistan


Election Commission has appointed 41 District Returning Officers for National and Provincial Assembly seats in Punjab, 30 District Returning Officers for National and Provincial Assembly seats in Sindh, while 36 District Returning Officers have been appointed for National and Provincial Assembly seats in Balochistan.

The Election Commission appointed 266 returning officers and assistant returning officers for the National Assembly seats. 45 Returning Officers and Assistant Returning Officers have been appointed for National Assembly seats from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 3 Returning Officers and Assistant Returning Officers have been appointed for National Assembly seats from Islamabad.

The Election Commission has appointed 141 returning officers and assistant returning officers for the National Assembly seats from Punjab, 61 returning officers and assistant returning officers for the National Assembly seats from Sindh, and 16 returning officers and assistant returning officers for the National Assembly seats from Balochistan. ECP General Election Unofficial results February 9,2024

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) will announce unofficial results of all 859 constituencies of the National and Provincial Assemblies on February 9,2024.

The Election Commission has appointed 8 returning officers for the specific seats of the National and Provincial Assemblies. According to the declaration, the returning officers have been appointed for the general elections. Apart from this, the Election Commission of Pakistan has also issued notification of returning officers for certain seats.
