Islamabad: The Federal government of Pakistan has announced public holidays from June 17 to 19 on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha 2024.

Prime Minister of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif gave summary approval for three holidays after which the federal government issued a notification in this regard.
Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has approved three holidays on Eid-ul-Adha. In Eid-ul-Adha, Muslims follow the Sunnah of Ibrahimi and sacrifice animals in the way of Allah, whose meat is distributed among relatives and deserving people.
It should be noted that the moon of Dhul Hijj was sighted in Saudi Arabia 2 days ago, the Day of Arafah will be on Tuesday 27th June and the first day of Eid al-Adha is 28th. June will be Wednesday. Oman’s Ministry of Religious Affairs had also announced that Eid-ul-Adha will be celebrated on June 28 in the Sultanate as well.
The Sindh government has banned the collection of skins without permission on Eid-ul-Azha for three days across the state. Additionally, establishing up camps and utilising loudspeakers to collect skins will be prohibited, and any previously issued permits to carry weapons have been revoked.
