KARACHI: The Sindh government has issued a holiday notification on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha 2023. According to the notification issued by the Chief Secretary Sindh, all private and public institutions in the province will be closed from June 28 to July 1 on the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha.
Eid-ul-Azha, also known as the Festival of Sacrifice, is a significant religious holiday celebrated by Muslims worldwide. In Sindh, Pakistan, the provincial government issues a notification regarding the holiday to ensure its smooth observance.

All public and private institutions will open as usual from Monday, July 3 after the holiday due to Sunday’s weekly holiday on July 2, 2023.
Eid-ul-Azha, also called the Feast of Sacrifice, is one of the two major Islamic festivals celebrated annually. It marks the end of the Hajj pilgrimage and commemorates the willingness of Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham) to sacrifice his son as an act of obedience to God. The festival revolves around sacrifice, charity, and acts of goodwill.
