The Higher Education Commission (HEC) is conducting Law Admission Test (LAT) for applicants desirous to get admission in five- year undergraduate LLB Degree Programme in HEC/PBC recognized public and private sector universities/institutions and valid colleges affiliated with Public Sector Universities in compliance with directions of the Honorable Supreme Court vide its Order dated 31, 2018March 6,2018 and Judgement dated August 31,2018 passed in C.R134/2012.

Who Can Apply for Law Admission Test?
- Students who have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) or equivalent/Grade 12 Education.
- Students who have appeared in the final examination of HSSC or equivalent/Grade 12 Education and awaiting results.
Test Pattern and Syllabus
Admission Test Pakistan:
As per Order dated March 6, 2018, passed by the Honourable Supreme Court, the admission in public and private sector universities and their valid affiliated law colleges, henceforth will be subject to passing the Law Admission Test (LAT) which will be held twice a year. The LAT will be conducted by the Higher Education Commission (HEC). The test will be for admission in a five-year/three-year LLB program and will be valid for two years. There is no test fee.
Who Can Apply for Law Admission Test?
Students who have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) or equivalent/grade 12 education. Students who have appeared in the final examination of HSSC or equivalent/grade 12 education and are awaiting results.
Note: Only those who are already enrolled in 3 year LLB programs (Fall 2018) but didn’t appear in the 1st Test conducted on 19th August 2018, they can enroll for registration for the Law Entry Test. As there will be no 3 year LLB Program after 31st December 2018.

Who Can Appear for the Test?
• Students with 12 years of schooling (HSSC) or equivalent Test Category HAT-UG-L Law Admission Test (LAT) (12 years equal education) Details of Test Centres Applicants may select any test center from the list available on the HEC website; however, for their own convenience, they are advised to choose a test center nearest to their residence/district of domicile.
Deadline for Online Registration
The last date for online registration is July 3, 2023. Date of Test. Date of the test will be announced on the HEC website: www.hec.gov.pk. Roll number slips will be sent to provided postal addresses to those candidates who are registered on HEC online registration process. SMS will be sent for a test date, time, and venue.
