Pakistan Day the ‘Armed Forces Pakistan Day Parade will be held in Islamabad on the 23rd of March with a full dres’ rehearsal planned for the 22nd of March 2021. In order to facilitate commuters on both days, special traffic arrangements have been made. The Rawalpindi Traffic Police has formulated a traffic diversion plan for the parade today, stating that all roads leading to the parade ground will be closed tomorrow, and alternative routes will be provided for the flow of traffic.

According to a handout from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) branch of the Pakistan Army, the traffic plan will be publicized through the electronic and print media ahead of time.

Pakistan Day (یوم پاکستان‎, Yaum-e-Pakistan) or Pakistan Resolution Day, also Republic Day, is a national holiday in Pakistan to commemorate the Lahore Resolution of 1940 and the adoption of the first constitution of Pakistan during the transition of the Dominion of Pakistan to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan on 23 March 1956 making Pakistan the world’s first Islamic republic. Republic Day parade by the armed forces is a common celebration for the event.

A large number of civil, military, and foreign dignitaries are participating in the parade. Delegations from Sindh, Punjab, Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Azad Kashmir are participating in the parade. Special messages are being given for the occasion.

23RD March Traffic Diversion Plan is given below for the Public who Participates in it and other people of Islamabad. A full parade will be held on the occasion of Pakistan Day on March 23. According to a spokesman for the traffic police, the expressway from Coral Chowk will be closed to full traffic, while alternative routes will be provided for traffic to pass through the interior of Islamabad and Rawalpindi.

Pakistan day 23 March 2021 Parade:

Participating troops which include foot columns of Army, Navy, PAF, Frontier Corps, Northern Light Infantry, Mujahid Force, Islamabad Police, Tri-Services Lady officers, Tri-Services Armed Forces Nursing Service, Girls Guide, Boys Scouts, Special Service Group from three Services, mechanized columns of Armoured Corps, Artillery, Army Air Defence, Signals, Engineers, Army Strategic Force Command, Camel Band and President’s Body Guard participated in the parade, according to the ISPR handout.

The ISPR adds that PAF fighter aircraft, aircraft of Pakistan Navy, and helicopters of Army Aviation also rehearsed their flypast for the 23rd of March parade. Aerobatics of PAF Sherdil team and JF-17 thunder and F-16 also part in skydivers.

Pakistan Day is a public holiday in Pakistan on March 23, 2021. The Pakistan Army Public Relations Department (ISPR) had announced to reschedule the Pakistan Day parade on March 23 due to bad weather and said that the Pakistan Day parade would now be held on March 25. The Armed Forces Parade will be held at Shakarpur on time.

Mobile and internet services will be suspended in the federal capital today while the roads leading to the parade ground have also been closed. The highlight of the parade is that it will showcase Pakistan’s latest defense system while Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar. Pakistan Air Force fighter jets will lead the flypast. Due to bad weather in the federal capital, the Pakistan Day parade on March 23 was postponed and rescheduled for March 25.
