Higher Education Commission Pakistan Special Equivalence Examination (A Pre-Requisite Test to Appear in Bar Entrance Test Law-GAT). The Higher Education Commission (HEC), Pakistan is set to conduct a Special Equivalence Examination for Law Graduates of foreign universities (SEE-Law).

Law graduates of foreign Universities / Institutions, recognised by HEC/PBC are required to pass the SEE-Law before appearing in Law Graduate Assessment Test (Law-GAT), which is mandatory to apply to the Bar Council for enrolment as an advocate.

Online applications are invited from desirous law graduates who have obtained their law degrees from HEC/ PBC recognised foreign universities/ institutions.

Eligibility Criteria:
Law graduates of foreign university/ institution recognised by HEC/ PBC.

Curriculum:

Test Type:
The test will be based on Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) only.

Date of Examination:

The test will tentatively be held on April 28, 2024. Any change in test date, due to unavoidable circumstances, shall be communicated to candidates through www.hec.aov.pk and htto://etc.hec.oov.ok.

Applicants who register through HEC (ETC) online registration process will be able to download their Roll Number Slips from http://etc.hec.qov.Dk and the same shall also be sent on their registered email address, a week before the test date.

Email/ SMS will be sent to the registered applicants for examination date. time, and venue. Candidates are required to provide valid email/ mobile number while filling their online application forms. SMS shall not be sent to the mobile numbers that have been converted from one network to another network.

A print of Roll Number Slip and Original CNIC/ NICOP/ Passport will be required to enter the Test Centre on the Test Day.

Detail of Examination Centres:

The test will be conducted in the federal and provincial capitals. Applicants may select an examination centre from the list available in the application form.  Once selected, the centre will not be changed.

How to Register:

Visit htto://etc hec oov.Dk for online registration. In case of difficulty during online registration, visit https://onlinehelD.hec.oov.ok Only SUBMITTED applications will be considered. Applications in SAVE or INCOMPLETE mode will not be entertained. Test Fee of Rs. 5000/- is to be deposited via ILink 1 Bill Invoice participating Banks/ATM/Internet Banking/Mobile Banking/JazzCash/Upaisa.

Once you have selected 1 link 1 bill Invoice payment service, open /sign into your mobile app and click on Bill payment or payment services (as per your mobile banking app options). Click on 1 Bill Invoice payment services and enter the consumer number generated by the ETC portal. Once you see the details, pay the amount. After depositing the fee through 1 link 1 Bill Invoice, click on Verify Online Payment on ETC Dashboard.

 The test fee is non-refundable and non-transferable. The candidates must get queries/complaints resolved before the closure of the web registration portal. Queries/complaints handling beyond the registration deadline is denied by the system due to logistics/security reasons.
Note:

Taking a mobile or any calculating, recording, communication, or imaging electronic device inside the test centre, as well as uploading or sharing the images of question book is strictly prohibited and an offence liable to be punished as per the ETC rules.

Other Requirements/ Conditions:
A 50% score is required to qualify SEE-Law as specified by PBC. Applicants will have to meet other criteria, if any. as per the Rules & Regulations of the PBC. Applicants will have a maximum of five chances to clear the examination HEC will conduct the examination twice or on a quarterly basis as needed piDms768/23.
