HEC Law Graduate Assessment Test (LAW -GAT) Test Result 2021
All 100 Questions were scrutinized by the review panel. Whereby for 03 questions, the benefit of the doubt has been granted to the test takers & 01 questions were found erroneous. The result thus compensates the candidates with a point for each of the four questions if it was not attempted or marked as incorrect.
Marks have been granted against the following questions in respective color question booklets.
The Supreme Court of Pakistan vide its Order dated March 6, 2018, has directed the restoration of the Law Graduate Assessment Test (Law-GAT) by the Pakistan Bar Council (PBC) through the Higher Education Commission (HEC), Pakistan. The objective of the Assessment Test is to ensure proper scrutiny and evaluation of law graduates desirous to join the legal profession so that only competent individuals possessing the necessary basic knowledge of law may enter the legal profession for practicing law.
Therefore, henceforth a law graduate will only become eligible to apply to a Bar Council for enrolment as an Advocate if he/ she qualifies for the Assessment Test to be conducted by the HEC, having been so authorized by the Pakistan Bar Council, pursuant to the aforementioned Order of the Hon’ble Supreme Court and read with Section 26 (cc) of Legal Practitioners and Bar Council’s Act 1973.

Persons having passed Bachelor’s degree in law or equivalent from a university recognized by HEC/PBC are eligible to apply
• The test will consist of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)
Date of Examination
The test will be conducted on Sunday, July 25, 2021. Any change in the test date will be communicated through https://etc.hec.gov.pk
Applicants who register through HEC online registration process will download their Roll Number Slips through https://etc.hec.gov.pk a

Email/SMS will be sent to registered applicants for a test date, time, and venue.
Candidates are required to provide a valid

A print of Roll Number Slip and original CNIC will be required to enter in the test center

The last date for online registration is Friday, July 25, 2021.

The examination fee is non-refundable and non-transferable
A 50% score is required to qualify for the Law Graduate Assessment Test.
Applicants will have to meet other criteria, if any, as per the Rules and Regulations of the Pakistan Bar Council.
Applicants will have a maximum of three chances to clear the test and HEC will conduct the test thrice a year.
