GC University Lahore Psychology and Clinical Psychology Programs Admissions 2023
The Department of Psychology is pleased to announce the Ph.D. Admissions in Psychology and Clinical Psychology Programs. All interested candidates may submit their application forms on or before 10th June 2020 along with necessary documents in the office of Psychology, GC University, Lahore.
GCU has the unique distinction of starting MA classes in Psychology in 1926, making it the second institute after the University of Calcutta, to launch a Postgraduate Programme at that time. The MA Psychology Programme was launched jointly with the Department of Psychology of Forman Christian College (FCC) Lahore.
For a long period of time, the discipline of Psychology remained a part of Philosophy and classes were held jointly till 1961. In 1962, the Department of Psychology was established as an independent Department under the Chairmanship of Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ajmal, a renowned Psychologist, teacher, scholar, and mentor.
Eligibility Criteria:-
• MS/M.Phil/ Equivalent degree in relevant subject with minimum 30 credit Hours which includes 24 Credit Hours of Course Work and 06 Credit Hours of Research Work/ Thesis from any HEC recognized University, with minimum 3.00/4.00 CGPA (in Semester
System) or 60% marks (in Annual System).
• Candidates must have qualified GAT-Subject Test with a valid result with a minimum of 60% marks conducted by NTS or GRE-Subject (with the valid result of minimum 60% percentile score) conducted by ETS, USA, Prior to admission for the Ph.D. Program.
• Consent of Supervisor from the Department of Psychology or the Clinical Psychology Unit.
