The Junior Hockey World Cup schedule has been released by the International Hockey Federation (FIH). Malaysia will host the competition from December 5 through December 16. where 16 teams will take part. The FIH Olympic Hockey Qualifying Event will be held in Lahore from January 13 to January 21,2024. After the 1990 World Cup, Pakistan will host the 8-team tournament.

Group D includes the Pakistani team together with the Netherlands, Belgium, and New Zealand. On December 6, the Pakistani junior squad will play the Netherlands, followed by games against New Zealand and Belgium on December 7,2023.

The 5A side Asia Cup will be played from August 29 to September 2 in Salalah, Oman, for which 1994 World Cup gold medalist Wasim Feroze has been appointed as the head coach of the hockey team.

For the quarterfinals, the top two teams from each of the four groups will advance. Pakistan finished 11th in the most recent Junior Hockey World Cup. Pakistan last competed in the Junior Hockey World Cup final in 1993, it should be mentioned.
