CHIEF MINISTER’S NAYA LAHORE DEVELOPMENT PACKAGE

The package includes the following social & infrastructure development projects.  The government is planning to start the construction of more than 35,000 apartments on 8,000 Canals of land. LDA flats will be given to the low-income class on easy terms. The installments for these flats will be Rs. 15,000 per month, payable over a period of 20,000 years.

• Construction of 4000 Apartments
• 10 Underground Water Storage Tanks
• 1000 bed Hospital at Ferozepur Road

One thousand beds will be laid for Lahore General Hospital on 124 Canals of LDA land at a cost of Rs. 9 billion on Ferozepur Road near Arfa Karim Technology Tower. The hospital will have a capacity of 400 beds in General Ward, 400 beds in Cardiology, and 200 beds in Blood Disease Wards. Mother and Child Care Hospital was being completed at a cost of Rs. 4 billion in Ganga Ram Hospital.

• Flyover from Railway Station to Sheranwala Gate

An overhead bridge starting from the railway station to Sheeranwala Gate will be constructed at a cost of Rs 4.5 billion.

• Flyover near Karim Block Market
• The underpass near Gulab Devi Hospital

An underpass will also be constructed on Ferozepur Road near Gulab Devi Hospital at a cost of Rs 1 billion. The Children’s Hospital has been given the status of University of Children’s Health Sciences and Rs. 4 billion has been allocated for this University. A radiology department has been set up in Services Hospital at a cost of Rs 2.5 billion. The radiology department also has 225 beds.

• Flyover at ShahkamChowk

Flyovers will be constructed at Shikam Chowk and Karim Block Market Chowk. Both projects will cost about Rs 6 billion

• State-of-the-art BusTerminal near Thokar Niaz Baig
