The top 10 universities in the world are topped by the University of Massachusetts in the United States, which is followed by the Universities of Cambridge in the United Kingdom and Oxford in the United States. The 2024 university rankings have been made public by QS, a well-known global organisation that ranks universities. While NUST and LUMS made it to the list of 600 best universities in the world, Quaid-e-Azam University in Pakistan made the list of the 400 best institutions in the world.

In the global ranking, Oxford University in the United Kingdom is first, Stanford University in the United States is second, Massachusetts Institute of Technology in the United States is third, Harvard University in the United States is fourth, Cambridge University in the United Kingdom is fifth, Princeton University in the United States is sixth, California Institute of Technology in the United States is seventh, Imperial College London is Eighth, University of California, Berkeley, USA, ninth, and Yale University, USA, ranked tenth

Top 10 World University Rankings 2024

The University of California, Berkeley is ranked number ten, followed by Imperial College in London at number six, ETH Zurich University in Switzerland at number seven, National University of Singapore at number eight, UCL in London at number nine, and Stanford University of America at number four. Harvard University of America is ranked number four. The 400 best universities also include 2 universities in Saudi Arabia, Iran and India, 3 universities in Turkey and 7 universities in China.

The 20th edition of the QS World University Rankings contains 1,500 institutions dispersed across 104 regions, making it the only ranking of its kind to have an emphasis on employability, competence, and sustainability.
