Mohammad Asif has won the World Men’s Snooker Championship 2019
Pakistani Quest Mohammad Asif has won the World Men’s Snooker Championship title which is held in Antalya, Turkey. In the final of the World Snooker Championship in Anatolia, Turkey, Mohammad Asif was competing with Geoffrey Roda of the Philippines. Pakistani Quest made its name in the final 5 against 8 frames. Mohammad Asif qualified for the final of the IBSF World Snooker Championship, beating Thai Kritsanut Lertsattayathorn in the semi-final, Pakistani Qwest Mohammad Asif also hoisted the green flag of Pakistan around the world by earning the world title in 2012.
Muhammad Asif had also won the World Snooker title in 2012 for the first time. He became the first Pakistani after 1994 to win the title after defeating England’s Gary Wilson 10-8 in Sofia, Bulgaria. After winning the title, Asif dedicated a win to Pakistani nation and Kashmiri brethren. He said this is a win for the entire nation. Asif said he is happy about becoming a world champion for the second time as it was a difficult task. He hoped to receive a warm welcome upon his return to the country.
