University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore tuition-free Ph.D. Program Admission 2021

The University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore has for the first time launched a tuition-free Ph.D. program, making UET the first university to come up with an excellent plan for 27 programs. The University of Engineering and Technology (UET), Lahore, Syndicate has approved a tuition-free Ph.D. on the recommendation of the Academic Council. This makes UET Lahore the first public sector university to offer such a program for all of its 27 doctoral programs.

All resources will be utilized for the promotion of higher education and research culture. Full-time students in the Ph.D. program will not be charged semester fees. Students will be required to work at least six hours per week in exchange for fee waivers.

Semester recurring fees will not be charged from students enrolled full-time in the Ph.D. program. In lieu of the fee waiver the students will be required to work for at least six hours per week and in this context may be offered Teaching Fellowship on the recommendation of the respective department after approval of their Ph.D. research proposal. To qualify for this stipend the CGPA, in graduate course work, should at least be 3.50 on a scale of 4.0 and this scholarship will be awarded for at most two years.

The purpose of this program is to encourage highly educated students to pursue a full-time Ph.D. Beneficiaries of this program will not only produce excellent research papers but also benefit the industry.

Admission to Ph.D. programs has started in the university. Aspiring students will be able to get the prospectus till August 2, 2021, while the tests will be taken between August 9 and 12. Successful candidates will be interviewed on August 16-24, while Ph.D. classes will begin on September 13.
