ISLAMABAD: Ogra has increased the price of LNG, the notification of which has been issued. According to the notification issued by OGRA (Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority), the price of LNG has been increased by 2.58%, and the price of LNG for Sui Northern has been increased by 32 cents per MMBtu.

the price of NNG for Sui Southern has been increased by 9 cents per mmbtu, after which the new LNG price for Sui Southern has been fixed at $13.05 per mmbtu.

RLNG prices for Sui Southern Gas Co. increased by $31 cents per mmbtu. RLNG prices for Sui Southern increased by $1.41 cents per mmbtu. In the notification, the price of RLNG for Sui Northern is set at $14.81 cents per mmbtu, while the price of RLNG for Sui Southern will be $15.45 cents per mmbtu.

OGRA has announced new prices for December. In November, the price of RLNG for Soi Northern was $13.49 per mmBtu, while the price for Soi Southern was $14.3 cents per mmBtu.

LNG price in Pakistan today

Consumers using 90 cubic meters of gas during November to February (winter) are protected and consumers using more than 90 cubic meters of gas during the same period are unprotected. As per Ogra’s notification, protected users will have to pay a fixed charge of Rs 50 while non-protected users will have to pay a fixed charge of Rs 460.

If the consumption of gas exceeds 90 cubic meters in any month from November to February, it will be considered unprotected. The rate of sales tax on gas has also been increased to 18% from February 15.

The difference between the months of January and February of gas price increase by Ogra will be charged in installments in the bills from March to May. The new tariff proposed by SNGPL is likely to have a significant impact on consumers across Pakistan.
