SSGC Gas Schedule/Timing in Pakistan

Gas load shedding will be done in the country this year as well and gas will be supplied for eight hours a day as per last year. Before the start of winter, gas load shedding has been going on for the past few months in different parts of the country, the duration of which is said to be up to eight hours. In winter, 5 billion cubic feet of gas per day will be available in the system, the maximum gas demand in winter is likely to be 6 and a half billion cubic feet, the shortfall of gas in winter can reach 1 billion cubic feet per day. However, in winter, gas supply to domestic consumers will be the first priority and gas supply to the power sector will be the second priority. Gas is expensive in winter and will only get 8 hours. Gas will be provided during morning, afternoon and evening meal times.

SSGC Gas Schedule/Timing in Pakistan

Gas will be provided to Public for three hours in the morning, two hours in the afternoon and three hours in the evening, the gas company has released the working hours. SSGC is ensuring gas supply to its customers during meal hours as per the given schedule. The gas load management plan will be finalized by the middle of October, the approval of the gas load management plan will be taken from the federal government, the gas load management plan will be applied from November 2023 to March 2024. They will provide as much gas as there is in the country, the ban on new gas connections will also remain. There is no gas in the country for new connections. Two LNG cargoes have been arranged for December.

The total number of gas consumers in the country is 1 crore 6 lakh 50 thousand, which includes 4 lakh 50 thousand consumers of Sui Northern Gas and 32 lakh consumers of Sui Southern Gas. Out of them 30 lakh 88 thousand consumers use geyser.
Sui Southern will supply gas to its domestic customers on a scheduled basis during cooking hours.

Sui Gas Company has released a 3-time gas supply schedule for Lahore consumers, domestic consumers will be supplied with gas from 06:00 to 09:00 am, from 12:00 noon to 02:00 pm and in the evening from 06:00 to 09:00 pm. Due to the continuous decline in the country’s gas reserves and the challenging global energy situation, Sui Southern is facing significant shortages in its system.

Adhering to the directives of the Honorable Prime Minister of Pakistan, SSGC shall facilitate its esteemed domestic customers who are placed on top priority by the Government of Pakistan by ensuring the availability of gas supplies during meal timing, thrice a day, as per the above mentioned schedule.

Sui gas supply will be ensured for domestic consumers from 06:00 am to 09:00 am, 12:00 pm to 02:00 pm and 6 pm to 9 pm. According to the instructions of the Prime Minister, gas supply will be ensured three times a day during meal times. The deadline for installation of conical baffles is December 2023.
