Lahore: The Government of Punjab has announced SOPs and Schedule of markets during Ramadan. Punjab government allowed to open specific businesses in the city and also issued SOPs for security. The government has announced the opening hours of government offices for Ramadan.
Punjab Government Schedule of markets during Ramadan
Punjab government regulates market schedules and standing operating procedures (SOPs) during the Ramadan during Coronavirus lockdown. During Ramadan, departments and institutions open 6 days a week, Monday to Thursday and Saturday, working hours from 10:00 a.m. to 03:00 p.m., while on Fridays from 10:00 a.m. to 01:00 p.m.
Punjab Government announced SOPs and Schedule of markets during Ramadan. During the month of Ramadan, the opening time extends from 05:00 pm to 08:00 pm.
Government departments and institutions in Punjab, which are open 5 days a week, will be open from 10:00 am to 04:00 pm from Monday to Thursday and from 10:00 am to 01:00 pm on Friday.
As per the recommendations of NCC and Federal Government, Government of Punjab Easing the corona Lockdown to Protect daily wages and to keep up the Economic Momentum. These order Shall remain application till mAY 31,2020.
New Sector being exempted
Construction Sector(phase-II).i.e.business of steel and PVC Pipes, electric Appliances, manufacturing of steel & aluminum equipment, ceramic and paints industries, sanitary, paints, steel and aluminum works, and hardware stores
All Factories not included in the negative list, including the export industry, Detailed notification in this regard shall be issued separately by the industries Department.
All retail shops except large shopping malls for days a week.
All hair salons, barbers shop, and gymnasiums.
All exempted Shops and businesses shall remain open for four days a week (except Friday, Saturday & Sunday) from 08:00 AM to 05:00 PM.
All individuals and businesses would have to ensure implementation on the SOPs as laid down by the Government of Punjab.
Note: There is no ban on the sale of goods by street vendors and hawkers.
These exemptions are aimed at facilitating business and the public. Curtailing the spread of the Corona Virus is our collective responsibility.
The following businesses shall continue to work as usual from 09:00 AM to 05:00 PM,7 days a week.
Grocery stores, general stores, karyana stores, bakeries, atta chakkis, milk/dairy shops, chicken & meat /Fish shops, fruits & vegetable shops, and all kinds of mandis including grain, fruit, cattle and vegetables mandis, tandoor, all auto workshops.
24 hours,7 days a week
Tire puncture shops, spare parts shops, driver hotels, petrol pumps and oil depots, takeaway/Home Delivery From restaurants.
09:00 to 05:00 Pm,7days a week
postal/courier services, for pick and drop from/at doorsteps and its relevant inter-city inter-provincial vehicles movement.
Continue process industries (to be notified by the Industries department)
The following shall continue to remain closed
Large shopping Malls
Restaurants(Except Takeaway and Home delivery)
Hotels (Except takeaway and Home delivery, hair Salons, and gyms)
Marquees, Marriage Halls, cinemas and places of large gatherings
Public processions/gatherings/congregations of all nature.
Organized sports events and concerts
Public transport except Qingqi and Rickshaw. For the resumption of Public transport,meeting will be held with the representation of transporters at the provincial and divisional level to prepare proper SOPs for the operationalization of transport sector.
CM Punjab Ramzan Package 2020
Under the Chief Minister’s Ramadan package, cash will be transferred to families in need.
Business will be open from 09:00 a.m. to 03:00 p.m. Monday to Thursday, while grocery stores will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Meals will be delivered from 05:00 pm to 10:00 pm and there will be no home delivery service in the morning.
