Former Interior Minister and Senator Rehman Malik Passed Away at the Age of 70
ISLAMABAD: Former Interior Minister and Senator Rehman Malik have passed away at the age of 70. The death was reported by his brother Khalid Malik. Rehman Malik was on a ventilator at a private hospital in Islamabad due to corona and could not recover. He also had a lung condition.
Rehman Malik is survived by a widow and two sons. He was born in Sialkot in 1951. He received his M.Sc. Rehman Malik was a member of the Senate from the PPP in 2018. He was the Interior Minister of Pakistan from 2008 to 2013. Before entering politics, he was also the head of the FIA.
Senator Rehman Malik was awarded Sitara-e-Shujaat and Nishan-e-Imtiaz by the Government of Pakistan for his outstanding performance. Rehman Malik is considered one of the trusted and loyal companions of Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Shaheed. He was very hardworking, he has a lot of services for the PPP. Senator Rehman Malik was the author of several books.
