Rabi-ul-Awwal Moon Sighting on Saturday 17th October 2020

The Central Route Hilal Committee is held on Saturday 17th October 2020 to observe the new moon of the month of Rabi-ul-Awal. Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman, Chairman Ruwit-e-Hilal Committee, has announced that the moon of Rabi-ul-Awal has not been seen. The first Rabi-ul-Awal will be on Monday, October 19, while the 12th Rabi-ul-Awal will be on Friday, October 30. The Ministry of Religious Affairs has also issued a notification regarding the absence of the moon.

Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman will preside over a meeting of the Central Route Hilal Committee at the Karachi office of the Meteorological Department on Saturday to observe the new moon of Rabi-ul-Awal. In addition, zonal committee meetings will be held in Lahore, Quetta, and Peshawar. If the moon appears on Saturday, then 12 Rabi-ul-Awal will be on Thursday, October 29.
