Queen Maxima will visit Pakistan from 25th to 27th November 2019

Queen Maxima of the Netherlands will visit Pakistan for a three-day from 25th to27th November 2019. She will meet with President Arif Alvi and Prime Minister Imran Khan during her visit to Pakistan. She also attends the launch of the ‘Micro Payment Gateway’, Queen Máxima of the Netherlands is the spouse of King Willem-Alexander. On 30 April 2013, she became the first queen consort of the Netherlands since Emma of Waldeck and Pyrmont and the first Latin American-born queen consort in the history of the Netherlands.

Queen Maxima of the Netherlands Schedule in Pakistan

Queen Maxima of the Netherlands arrives in Pakistan with a 6-member delegation. Officials from the Foreign Ministry and the Embassy of the Netherlands received them at Islamabad Airport. Queen Maxima is making a 3-day visit to Pakistan as a special envoy to UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, during which she will meet President Arif Alawi and Prime Minister Imran Khan. The Queen will also meet with a number of public and private sector partners during the visit. She will attend the inaugural event of the Micro Payments Gateway, which is planned by the State Bank. He is also expected to attend the Pakistan Innovation Forum today

Queen of Netherlands will visit Pakistan from 25th to 27th November 2019

The Pakistan Foreign Office said Queen Máxima will call on Prime Minister Imran Khan and President Arif Alvi, besides engagements with other stakeholders from the public and private sectors. Máxima Zorreguieta Cerruti will also attend the launch of Micro Payment Gateway, an initiative of the State Bank of Pakistan aimed at reducing the costs of small payments and boosting digital transactions to benefit people and promote financial inclusion. The Queen has been the UN Secretary General’s Special Advocate for Inclusive Finance for Development since 2009. she is actively engaged worldwide in promoting access of individuals and enterprises to financial services at a reasonable cost, with the aim of improving economic and social development opportunities. Queen Máxima had earlier visited Pakistan in February 2016.
