The Punjab government has decided to recruit 368 College Teacher Interns (CTIs) in government colleges in Lahore. CTIs will be given Rs. 180,000 for a four-month appointment.
The Punjab Department of Higher Education (HED) will hire around 300 College Teaching Interns (CTIs) to meet the shortage of teaching staff in public sector colleges.

The list for recruitment of CTIs in 56 colleges of Lahore has been released. Director Colleges Lahore Dr. Zia-ur-Rehman has directed the principals of the colleges to implement the schedule. 269 teachers will be recruited in women’s colleges and 99 in men’s colleges in Lahore.
The list of vacancies in the college (men and women) will be placed on the notice board of the respective colleges on 14th January while interested candidates can submit applications from January 14 to 15.
College Teacher Interns will be recruited for four months. The principal has to submit the preliminary list of CTIs to the Deputy Director Colleges by January 17. Temporary teachers recruited in government colleges will be paid a monthly salary of Rs 45,000. A three-member committee headed by the college principal will conduct walk-in interviews of the candidates. 95 marks of academic qualification and five marks of interviews have been fixed for CTI.
The colleges will display the provisional merit lists on January 17 while the final merit list will be kept on January 20, 2021. Interviews will be held from January 21 to 23, while the list of successful candidates will be posted by the colleges on January 25.
The grievance redressal process will be completed from January 28 to 29, while the final merit lists will be kept by the colleges on February 1. MA / MSc (2nd Division) is the minimum qualification required to apply for these temporary teaching positions.
