The Punjab government has started digital technology online services to boost the construction sector. The Punjab government has spread the use of digital technology and online service has been launched for the development of the construction sector.

Established in e-service centers to make Punjab a construction business hub, this one-window system is an important milestone for builders, developers, architects as well as for solving public problems with regard to private construction, now maps of residential or commercial projects.

Approval, completion of construction certificates, land-use change NOCs or permits for private societies are all being provided from e-service centers under one roof. One window system for obtaining permits and NOCs related to the construction sector, an online platform has been launched for private/commercial constructions of builders, developers, architects, and citizens. Permits will now be available with one click.

The development of the construction sector will start economic activities worth Rs 1,500 billion in Punjab, the projects will create thousands of jobs, so far 186 billion projects have been registered on the FBR portal. Banks will extend all possible cooperation for the construction of low-cost houses, provide packages to the construction sector for affordable housing projects, banks will invest in it after the forklift law is passed, banks have allocated Rs 378 billion by December 2021. Yes, the interest rate for a 5 marla house will be 5%, for a 10 marla house it will be 7%. The affordable housing project will first get a grant of Rs 300,000 per person for one lakh houses.

To create economic stability and ease of doing business in the province, the Punjab government has introduced departmental reforms based on e-governance and as per the vision of the Prime Minister, the construction sector has been given industry status under the economic recovery strategy attached to the sector.

Expanding the scope of One Window Service, this service has been extended to the doorsteps of the people, now the people can avail the services related to the construction sector at home with the click of a button through online portal.

The government had introduced Approval Regime Punjab on an emergency basis in which the concerned departments and agencies have been directed to issue NOCs or permits to all the applicants within the stipulated period. He said that in this regime 30 days have been allotted for approval of map and completion of the construction certificate, 45 days for NOC for change in land use, and 60 to 75 days for a permit of residential societies. Before that, the same work was done in months and often years.

This system is a historic step in connecting LDA, GDA, RDA, FDA, MDA, PHATA, Local Governments (Metropolitan Corporations) to digital networking. The applicant no longer has to contact various agencies for permits for residential constructions or housing schemes. All the facilities are available in one place in e-service centers and now with the launch of the portal, people can benefit from it whether they are at home or at the office.

Facilities are being created for the people, business facilities have been created and this will increase investment and create new job opportunities. one window system and online portal for construction sector has been set up. It is an important step towards eradicating the culture of bribery and red tape forever.
