Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2021 Schedule

KARACHI: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced the schedule of Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2021. The final match of the tournament will be played at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. Teams have released a list of eight retainers for the sixth edition of the PSL. Karachi Kings have retained national team captain Babar Azam and Islamabad United have retained vice-captain Shadab Khan in their squads.

The inaugural match of the league will be played on February 20 in Karachi, where defending champions Karachi Kings and Quetta Gladiators will compete. The next day, two matches will be played in the event. In the first match, the teams of Lahore Qalandars and Peshawar Zalmi, the winners of the fifth edition of the league, will be in action. The final of the 30-day tournament will be played on March 22 at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. For the first time since 2017, the final of the event will be played in Lahore.

The dates of the remaining matches of the event have been finalized in consultation with the four teams – Multan Sultans, Karachi Kings, Lahore Qalandars, and Peshawar Zalmi – while the start time of the matches will be announced later. The remaining four matches of the unit will be played under the Coveted 19 protocols where all players, match officials, and relevant staff will be kept in a biosecure environment.

HBLPSL 2020 is the second-largest tournament held in Pakistan after the Asia Cup 2008. The total prize money for the event is set at US 1 million. The winning team of the event will receive a trophy and prize money of US 500,000. The runner-up is set at 2 200,000.

All matches scheduled in Karachi will be played at National Stadium Karachi and all matches scheduled in Lahore will be played at Gaddafi Stadium Lahore.
