However, all the other conditions for eligibility will be determined on or before the closing date for receipt of application. PHYSICAL STANDARDS: FOR MALE: (i) Height 5 feet 5 inches (ii) Chest 32”-33½” inches FOR FEMALE: (i) Height 5 feet 2 inches VISUAL STANDARDS: Distant Vision 6/9 in each eye with or without glasses. Near Vision not less than J-1 for both Male and Female. Candidates are required to mention Physical Standard in their Online Application Form as per Certificate of Physical Standard issued by the Medical Superintendent of District Headquarter Hospitals or Service Hospital, Lahore or Police Hospitals shall be accepted under the Regulations/Policy Decisions. However, Medical Fitness Certificate issued within three (03) months prior to the closing date of the Advertisement shall be acceptable subject to the condition that the candidate fulfills all other requirements of Physical Standards prescribed for the post. Medical Certificate issued after the closing date shall not be accepted. Tempering/overwriting in Medical Certificate shall not be accepted.
Negative marking shall be made and 0.25 marks shall be deducted for each incorrect answer in the MCQ papers. A candidate shall have to obtain 40% marks in each paper and 50% marks in the aggregate i.e. 275 out of 550 to qualify for interview. Thereafter, a candidate shall also secure 50% marks in the interview i.e. 75 out of 150 to be held eligible for final merit list of successful candidates. No relaxation in age (General age relaxation), education or physical standard shall be allowed.
Punjab Civil Servants recruitment (relaxation in upper age limit) Rules 1976 are not applicable in Police Department.After recruitment no Inspector (Legal) shall be allowed to change of cadre from Inspector (Legal) to the executive or any other branch in the Police Department. The candidates who qualify in the examination and are recommended for appointment will have to appear for such medical examination and meet such conditions of appointment other than the above, as are prescribed by the Government.
Recruitment to the posts of Inspector Legal is governed by the Punjab Police Service Rules, 1934. The conditions of eligibility other than those mentioned above shall be regulated these Rules.
Change in the priority/ selection of examination centers shall not be allowed. 8) Experience certificate showing exact dates & containing complete information from President District B a r A s s o c i a t i o n d u l y countersigned and affixing rubber stamp of District and Sessions Judge/Addl. For all posts to be filled through written tests, followed by interview or interview alone, the
number of chances shall be restricted to 03, in case the candidate who fails in written tests/interview thrice for a specific posts.
Number of chances for Competitive Examinations shall remain three and there shall be no change for Competitive Examination, including Combined Competitive There shall be no limit of chances where recruitment is being made through one paper written test followed by interview or interview alone if a candidate obtains qualifying marks (40% marks) in the written test irrespective of the fact that whether he / she is called for interview or not and if he/ she obtains qualifying marks (50% marks) in interview irrespective of the fact that whether he/ she is recommended or (For example: if a candidate qualified the written test with 40% qualifying marks and called for interview, but he/ she could not obtain qualifying marks (50%) in interview, his/ her chance will be considered as availed.)
If a candidate who is applicant for more than one subject he/ she shall be allowed three chances in each subject for which he/ she is a candidate, in accordance with laid down policy. For example, for the post of Lecturer in Education Department, a candidate who is applicant for more than one subject shall be allowed three chances in each subject for which he/ she is a candidate in accordance with above laid down policy.
