Prime Minister Imran Khan will inaugurate the Pakistan Emergency Helpline today. The 911 helpline will provide immediate relief to the people in case of any emergency. On this occasion, the Prime Minister will also address the function.

Prime Minister Imran Khan presided over a meeting of the concerned officers of the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication in which the Prime Minister was apprised of the update on the establishment of Universal Pakistan Emergency Helpline (PEHEL) -911 ensure peace and security in the country in the first week of October 2021.

The project is being executed by the National Telecommunication Corporation (NTC) and the Digital Pakistan initiative of the IT ministry. NTC is responsible for providing secure and reliable telecommunication services to government organizations. The software applications are being developed by NTC and National Information Technology Board (NITB).

The country’s first national emergency helpline 911 has been inaugurated. The launch of the Emergency Helpline 911 is a huge undertaking. Now any citizen will call the number one and the state will respond.
