During his visit to China in June 2024, the Prime Minister of Pakistan visited agricultural universities and research institutes for developing closer cooperation between the two countries in the areas of agricultural research, education, and trade.

Prime Minister of Pakistan Shahbaz Sharif proposed to send 1.000 agricultural professionals to China to enhance their skills to promote Innovation, increase productivity, and support sustainable growth in Pakistan’s agriculture sector.

Eligibility Criteria
Young agricultural professional working in the public and private sectors. Holds, at least, master’s degree or BS four years in one of the nine priority areas. HE/She Should be 25 to 45 years of age on the application closing date. Candidates Have minimum two years of work experience in the priority areas. Proficiency In the English language and use of MS Word. Excel,and Power Point. Passport should be valid for at least one year on the application closing date.

In pursuance of Prime Minister’s directive, the Ministry of National Food Security and Research (MNFSR) invites applications from young professionals working in the public and private sectors to participate in this training program which will be implemented in phases. The duration of training will be 3-6 months. Details of priority areas of training, eligibility criteria, and general Instructions are as follows:
Priority Areas
The training will be provided in the following nine priority areas
1. Farm Mechanization
2. Crop Speed Breeding (Cotton, Hybrid Rice. Vegetables. Pulses)
3. High-Level Technologies—Drones. Internet of things. Al
4. Seed Production and Processing Technologies
5. Livestock Disease Surveillance
6. Livestock Breeding and Genomics
7. Aquaculture especially Shrimp Production and Processing
8. High Irrigation Water System
9 Fruits & Vegetables Processing
General Instructions
Training program is fully funded by the Government of Pakistan.
Scope of training, orientation sessions, and reporting requirements will be provided by the federal government.
Selected candidates will be required to sign a bond to return to Pakistan upon completion of training.
Any nominations without NOC from the department will not be considered.
Women are encouraged to participate in the training program.
Family will not be allowed to accompany the trainee.
Those who have already submitted nominations are not required to submit again.
MNFSR reserves the right to reject any application not meeting the criteria.
