Maternity and Paternity Leave Bill 2023 Notification

Islamabad: President Dr. Arif Alvi approved the Maternity and Paternity Leave Bill 2023. According to the bill, employees of federal institutions will be able to take maternity leave with full pay three times in service.

Under the bill, female employees can take 180 days maternity leave for the first time, 120 days for the second time, while women can get 90 days leave for the third time. Male employees can take 30 days leave three times during the entire service. The law applies. All public and private institutions under the management of the federal government will be punished with imprisonment up to 6 months or fine up to one lakh rupees or both.
