Khyber Pakhtunkhwa KPK 1122 MoU with Careem Service


Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the ride-hailing service Careem to digitize the emergency rescue service 1122. Careem Free Rescue 1122 Ambulance & Fire Brigade Service in Nowshera and Mardan city.

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Rescue1122 has acquired advanced technology to control the fire.
Rescue 1122 has received fireballs through which a small-scale fire can be extinguished within moments. The fireball weighs 1.3kg and can be used by people of all ages, including children.
Fireballs can control electric short circuits, gas stoves, firearm chemicals in factories, shopping malls, CNG stations, hotels, offices or automobile fires. When the flame reaches 70 degrees with flames, the ball explodes in three to five seconds and a fire extinguisher foam, which is very effective in extinguishing the fire automatically.

Under the MoU, Careem will put in the alternative of rescue services to its online application. It will permit the people of Peshawar to book rescue services (ambulance and fire brigade) via Careem. All presented rescue 1122 ambulance and fire brigades will be obtainable through the Careem app via a separate Emergency Services Customer Car Type (CCT). Careem officials will train the ambulance and fire brigade drivers on how to apply the mobile application.

CM KP, Mahmood Khan, well-versed the media about the new program, saying that the KP government desires to put together the rescue services sector with information technology.

CM Khan said that technology will make things easier and get better people’s lives and that the MoU will confirm to be a stepping-stone for Pakistan’s raising digital prospect.

The signing of MoU is the first plan of its kind in the country which will provide citizens with access to emergency services using a simple mobile application. We are working on the digitalization of services which is not only time-efficient but will also provide cheap services to citizens at their doorsteps.

The MoU signing ceremony was detained at Chief Minster’s Secretariat in Peshawar and attended by Minister Finance Taimur Jhagra, DG KP Emergency Services (1122), Co-Founder and CEO of Careem Pakistan amongst other officials.
