KARACHI: IBA Karachi (Institute of Business Administration) has taken a major decision on the level of higher education in Pakistan after matriculation and internship and has issued a policy of simply passing/failing its students without examinations.

However, no grading will be given to the students which will not have any positive or negative effect on their “CGPR” but the previous CGPA of the students will be maintained. IBA Director Dr. Akbar Zaidi has also informed all the deans and faculty members about the decision in an email. A senior IBA faculty member said that the current semester ended on May 17 and the current Spring Students do not have to take final exams to pass or fail in the semester.
If a student’s performance is very poor and it is appropriate to fail, then the teacher concerned will consult with his / her department head. Karachi’s education system has been affected for the past two months. We are trying to maintain standards in this situation.
