The ICC has released a new ranking of Test cricket according to which Pakistan captain Babar Azam has joined the top five batsmen in the ICC rankings. After an impressive performance in the Karachi Test, he has moved up three places to fifth position, while vice-captain Mohammad Rizwan’s ranking has improved six places to eleventh. Azhar Ali is the 19th number.
Australia’s Marin LeBushin is ranked first in the world, followed by Joe Root, Steve Smith and Ken Williamson. Karuna Ratne is sixth, Rohit Sharma is seventh, Travis Head is eighth, Virat Kohli is ninth and Rishabh Punt is tenth. In the bowlers’ rankings, Australian captain Pat Cummins is at the first position and Pakistan’s Shaheen Shah Afridi is at the sixth position. Hassan Ali is in 11th position and Muhammad Abbas is in 19th position.
Shaheen Shah Afridi is the only Pakistani player in the top 10 rankings of bowlers. His rankings have not changed and he remains at number four.
ICC T20 Ranking 2022
New Zealand’s Devon Conway was fourth and Indian captain Virat Kohli was fifth. In bowling, South Africa’s Tabriz Shamsi is first, Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan is second and Australia’s Ashton Agar is third. There is no Pakistani player in the top ten bowlers, while Afghanistan’s Muhammad Nabi is number one in the all-rounders.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) has released the Test Player Rankings. There has been no change in the ranking of the top seven Test batsmen. No Pakistani bowler has been included in the top ten bowlers rankings. Babar Azam became the number one ODI batsman in April. Fakhr Zaman has won the hearts of all by playing an innings of 193 runs in a one-day match against South Africa.
T20I RANKINGS: BATTING
The victory in the third match against South Africa was Pakistan’s 100th victory in this format while no other country has achieved as much in this format as the Green Shirts.
Aaron Finch is third and Lokesh Rahul is fourth in the T20I batsmen’s rankings, while other batsmen include Colin Monroe, Glenn Maxwell, Hazrat Zazai, Avon Lewis, Virat Kohli, and Avon Morgan in the top ten respectively.
Among bowlers, South African spinner Tabriz Shamsi has moved up three places to the second-best position in his career after Rashid Khan, while no Pakistani bowler is in the top ten.
New Zealand captain Kane Williamson remains at number one, followed by Steve Smith at number two, Marinus Lubshin at number three, Jorot at number four, Virat Kohli at number five, Babar Azam at number six, and Henry Knuckles at number seven. David Warner has moved up to the eighth position, followed by Chatishore Pujara to the tenth position after a two-step drop.
