Higher Education Commission (HEC) Ph.D. Scholarships for US Universities

Higher Education Commission (HEC). Pakistan under its project US-Pakistan Knowledge Corridor invites applications for award of scholarships for PhD programmes in top 300 QS World Ranked US universities.

The scholarship is only for PhD programmes and dots not include MS leading to Ph.D. Preference shall be given to applicants having admission in preferred subject areas as mentioned at MCC website. Applications for scholarship shad be submitted online through HEC scholarship portal

How to Apply:

Application must be submitted online on the HEC portal: until January 10, 2021, and the Closing date for the scholarship application is January 10, 2021.

Eligibility Criteria
a. Pakistani/AJKnationals.
b. Minimum four-year Bachelors degree (BS/BSc/BE (16 years of formal education)}.
c. Maximum one T Division and no 3“ Division in an entire academic career.
d. Maximum age on the closing date shall not exceed:
I. 40 years in case of regular faculty members of Public Sector Universities/Government Colleges and
Researchers of approved registered R&D Organizations (Born after January 10, 1981).
II. 35 years in all other cases on the closing date of the application (Born after January 10, 1986).
Merit Determination Formula:
e. GRE Scores-60% (Preference will be given to the higher scores)
f. Those having GRE waived by the host university will be required to appear in the HAT test and get a 60% score in addition to meeting the eligibility criteria of the host university.
g. HEC AEF Formula 30%.
h. Must not be availing any other Scholarship.
