HEC Interim Placement of Fresh PhDs Program Online Apply

The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has introduced Phase-II of the Interim Placement of Fresh PhDs (IPFP) Program, initiated to supply all Pakistani fresh Ph.D. graduates an opportunity to be positioned as Assistant Professors on a tenure music gadget for a duration of one year. HEC has revised the placement coverage and launched Phase-II of the software with revised Standard Operating Procedures (SoPs) for result based implementation of the program. Previously submitted applications will now not be considered further, therefore; candidates have been required to practice afresh. The placement under IPFP was on halt briefly due to the formulation of the new policy. Now, all clean PhDs will follow through E-portal for their placement, they added. “Of the remaining one-quarter of the participants, about half dropped out earlier than the conclusion of the program (presumably to pursue different career choices), while the different half have faced delays in discovering suitable permanent positions.

(IPFP) Phase-II Program Details

HEC has reviewed the IPFP policy and proposed full-size changes, each to be capable to amplify the size of the software inside the present budget and to ensure that it helps guide the longer-term career plans of the participants. Since 2009, HEC has placed around 4,300 fresh PhDs in the IPFP Programme in universities.

The latest assessment of the software has proven that the application used to be successful in setting about three-quarters (74.64 percent) of the members in long-term college positions (in the equal or different universities).

The inaugural Higher Education Commission (HEC) funded a four-week online training course for forty-one Fellows of the Interim Placement of Free Ph.D. (IPFP) under the National Faculty Development.

The 1st cohort of 41 IPFP fellows program was conducted online with technical assistance from Microsoft due to the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak in the country. The IPFP program supports universities in getting the services of fresh Ph.Ds for a period of one year in anticipation of their recruitment to regular faculty positions.

Applications are invited for the fiscal year 2019-20 as ‘IPFP Fellows’ in all areas of study/disciplines under the program IPFP (Phase-II). The deadline for the submission of the application is November 28, 2019. Link to apply has been activated however, HEC will publish the formal advertisement in national dailies on October 27, 2019 Candidates should fill required information online, upload mandatory documents and apply at HEC E portal https://eportal.hec.gov.pk/ipfp

Under the program, the HEC has invited applications for the fiscal year 2019-20 as ‘IPFP Fellows’ in all areas of study/disciplines. HEC has given the ultimate deadline for the submission of software as of November 28, 2019.

The candidates need to fill required facts online, add mandatory archives,and observe at HEC E portal https://eportal.hec.gov.pk/ipfp.

These include courses on teaching effectiveness, including online teaching, research management, and professional practice. It is in line with HEC’s strategy that all higher education programs should be driven by the goal of student success in the future. The program, led by a team of national and international experts, was conducted in line with the HEC’s top online preparation since the Coronavirus crisis.

The NFDP 2020 course will now be offered to 12 participants in 40 groups between now and August 2020. This is the first competition of the course.
