Education Voucher Scheme has been launched in Punjab province in the name of Education Voucher Scheme in 36 districts of the province. In which education vouchers are being issued to 4 lakh children aged 5 to 16 years living in urban, rural and slum areas. Under this scheme 1730 schools are functioning in Punjab. These vouchers can be used as school fees. This scheme can eliminate or reduce the education gap between middle class and poor class children.

This scheme gives freedom to children and their parents to choose where and from where they want to study. In this scheme, names of eligible students are submitted by the schools to the Education Department through an online portal. After verification, the concerned children are included in the voucher scheme. School Selection Criteria
Following are the preferred criteria for selection of schools:

Single ownership
The minimum number of rooms as per the detail is given below:
School Level Number of Rooms
1. Primary 3
2. Middle 5
3. Secondary 8
Schools must be teaching curriculum approved by Punjab Text Book Board.
A school must be functional in the UC under the ownership of the present owner for the last six months. School to be registered with the School Education Department or have applied for the same. However, the provision of documentary evidence is mandatory in either case. Application for partnership has to be accompanied by ownership documents of school building/rent deed/fard-e-market/school map and attested copy of CNIC.
The final selection of schools shall be based on physical verification of school. The decision by the competent authority of PEF shall be deemed to be final in this regard.
All such applications shall be rejected which are:
Incomplete
Without signature
With cutting
Based on misleading information
Received after the due date
A school must be located in the concerned union council. It is mandatory to mention the distance of the school from the concerned union council in the partnership application form.
All information given in the partnership application form shall be deemed to be final in all aspects. No amendments shall be permissible in the information mentioned in this form.
PEF-EVS department reserves the right to initiate legal proceedings against the applicants who have furnished misleading information.
PEF-EVS reserves the right to accept or reject any or all applications.
Applicants who are already partners under any PEF program shall not be eligible to apply. Any attempt to influence the selection process may lead to the cancellation of partnership.
Government servants are not eligible to apply.

Education Voucher Scheme (EVS) under Punjab Education Foundation (PEF) has been started in 28 districts of the province.

Organization Selection Criteria
The following are the criteria for selection of NGOs/profit-making and non-profit making organizations.

Only NGOs/profit-making and non-profit making organizations with a minimum of three years of experience are eligible to apply.
Application form NGOs/profit-making and non-profit making organizations must be accompanied by the complete profile of NGOs/profit-making and non-profit making organizations.
All such applications must be accompanied by the last three years’ bank statements.
All such applications must be accompanied by a registration certificate.
All such applications must be accompanied by information relating to all schools in the concerned union councils run by such NGOs/profit-making and non-profit making organizations.
The criteria mentioned above are subject to approval by the Board of Directors, PEF and may change from time to time.

Level Wise Fee per Child
Level Wise Fee per Child is as follows:

Rs 550/- per student up till Primary classes
Rs 600/- Per student for Elementary classes
Rs 900/- Per student for Secondary Arts classes
Rs 1100/- Per student for Secondary Science students
