Islamabad: The federal government has announced Eid-ul-Azha holidays. The federal government has announced notification for Eid ul Azha in Pakistan. There will be Eid holidays in the country on Thursday, June 29, Friday, June 30 and Saturday, July 1,2023.

The Zil-Hijjah moon was sighted in Pakistan yesterday, according to which the country will celebrate Eid-ul-Adha on June 29. Apart from this, Eid-ul-Adha will be celebrated on June 28 in Arab countries.

Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has approved five holidays on Eid-ul-Adha. In Eid-ul-Adha, Muslims follow the Sunnah of Ibrahimi and sacrifice animals in the way of Allah, whose meat is distributed among relatives and deserving people. The moon of Zul-Hijj was sighted in Pakistan yesterday, after which Eid-ul-Hajj is celebrated on 29 June 10 Zul-Hijj. will be celebrated. 1st Dhul Hajj will be on 20th June 2023 and Eid al-Adha will be celebrated on 29th June 2023.

It should be noted that the moon of Dhul Hijj was sighted in Saudi Arabia 2 days ago, the Day of Arafah will be on Tuesday 27th June and the first day of Eid al-Adha is 28th. June will be Wednesday. Oman’s Ministry of Religious Affairs had also announced that Eid-ul-Adha will be celebrated on June 28 in the Sultanate as well.

The Sindh government has banned the collection of skins without permission on Eid-ul-Azha for three days across the state. Additionally, establishing up camps and utilising loudspeakers to collect skins will be prohibited, and any previously issued permits to carry weapons have been revoked.
