Eid al Adha 2023 Holidays in Saudi Arabia and UAE

Eid al Adha holidays have been announced in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. The moon of Zul Hijjah was sighted in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates and Eid al-Adha will be on June 28, after which public and private institutions in both countries announced Eid holidays. Eid-ul-Adha is being celebrated today in different countries of the world including Saudi Arabia. On the auspicious occasion of Eid, various stores has announced special discounts for shoppers. Superstores in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have announced discounts ranging from 25 to 70 percent on prices of consumer goods and other items on Eid-ul-Adha.

In Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, the Eid al-Adha holidays will be from 9 Zul Hijjah to 12 Zul Hijjah, that is, from Tuesday June 27 to Friday June 30, while Saturday and Sunday are weekend holidays. Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and other Gulf nations will celebrate Eid-ul-Adha on 28th June 2023.Eid-ul-Adha will also be observed by select communities in the US, Canada, and the UK today and on 29th June 2023. There is a strong possibility that the Eid al-Adha moon will be sighted in the UAE on June 18. Thus Eid could possibly be on June 28. The same number of holidays were given to the UAE on Eid-ul-Fitr. Eid al-Adha is one of the most important holidays in the Islamic calendar. It marks the end of the Hajj pilgrimage, which is a religious duty that all Muslims are encouraged to undertake at least once in their lifetime. Employees who take a day off before the Eid holidays i.e. Monday will get 9 holidays.

A six-day holiday has been announced for the private sector in the UAE on the occasion of Eid al-Adha. During Eid al-Adha, Muslims traditionally sacrifice an animal, such as a sheep or goat. The meat from the sacrifice is then shared with family, friends, and the poor. Muslims also attend special prayers and social gatherings during Eid al-Adha.

The Ministry of Human Resources and the Emirates has issued a public holiday notification for the private sector from June 27 to June 30 on the occasion of Arafat Day and Eid al-Adha. Therefore, there will be six days of holidays from June 27 to July 2 because it also falls on the weekend.

Eid-ul-Adha is being celebrated today with full religious enthusiasm in Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and the Gulf States. On the other hand, the communities in Britain, Canada and America are also divided this time, some people will celebrate Eid today and some tomorrow. Eid will be celebrated tomorrow in Pakistan.

On the other hand, pilgrims are playing rummy to the big devil today, shave their heads after making sacrifices. and open Ihram, then perform Tawaf and Ziyarat, between Safa and Marwah in ordinary clothes. Millions of pilgrims reached Muzdalifah last night after performing Hajj Waqf Arafah.
