KARACHI: Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah has announced Corona Relief Program in Sindh Province and Rs580 million for ration distribution among poor people whose livelihood has been affected due to the government’s lockdown amid coronavirus pandemic.
Nearly one lac of the people is unemployed in Sindh due to coronavirus. On the orders of the Sindh government, Commissioner Karachi has issued a ration distribution system that will include flour, pulses, oil, rice, and spices and it will be distributed between 05:00 am and 07:00 am.
Sindh may have 33 million to 41 million people unemployed. While Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has about two million people and about one million people in Balochistan are unemployed.
During the distribution of rations, there will be a ban on crowding, distribution will be done only at home, under the supervision of the Deputy Commissioners in the deserving persons will be given rations; Flour, 5kg rice, 1kg white chickpeas, salt and 250g of red pepper, salt, turmeric, and crushed coriander.

The Sindh government had also launched mobile service to provide ration to the needy people affected by the coronavirus pandemic. Corona’s vulnerability is most vulnerable to the effects, working hard to protect workers from unemployment, the package for working-class aid announced.
Corona affected people will be given a package of Rs. 1200 billion. Duty has been abolished on all food products, the government has put Rs 70 lbs for petroleum disposal, is in touch with business community and provinces, Rs 107 billion is being funded in different ways, 100 billion for affected employees of small factories.
People do not have to pay electricity and gas bills immediately; electricity and gas liabilities can be paid in three months.
