For the first time in the history of Punjab sports endowment fund and internship program were started with two billion rupees. In this regard under the internship program, 6,000 fresh pass students would receive Rs25000 per month for six months while the student would also get the opportunity to work in different institutions. This has been done to the athletes who are under the Sports Endowment Fund with some athletes being categorized as elites whilst others as emergent elites.
It will be backed at all levels with stipends of Rs 70,000, 50,000 and 30,000. The players under 16 years of age will be provided 15 thousand rupees per month, treatment of the players will also be funded and the youths and the ex-players will also be supported from this fund. This is made sure by merit in the selection of players. From the endowment fund there will be prizes for medal winners at national and international levels, health insurance will also be provided along with foreign coaching.
CM Punjab Sports Endowment Fund For Training Players
The Punjab government has decided to establish a sports endowment fund of Rs 2 billion. Sports scholarships will be given to the players from the sports endowment fund. Not only Punjab but also players from other provinces will be sent for training abroad. Athletes, wrestling, boxing, hockey, football, volleyball, badminton, basketball, The athletes of javelin and other sports will be trained.

The Chief Minister said that sports arenas will be provided for athletes in the province. The endowment fund will be spent for the welfare of the players. He said that there is immense talent among our players and that training of players from international coaches is necessary to improve this talent.
