College Education Department (CED) Student Attendance System

The College Education Department (CED) has digitized the student attendance system by introducing online attendance in colleges of Sindh. Sims QR code based android application is developed to take attendance and maintain record of students on daily basis in college.

The process of online attendance of students has started in 343 colleges across Sindh, students with 75% attendance will be allowed to take the annual exam. After the official launch this app will be available on Google Play Store, this system has been successfully designed and tested in various other colleges to maintain attendance, in Sindh students used to maintain manual attendance which was also prone to errors. There were and records were also insecure, due to which students and teachers were facing difficulties, now teachers will be able to mark the attendance of students through the new system.

The system will also share students’ attendance with their parents, using the app parents can stay updated with regular attendance data, B-form number and roll number, staff at SECCAP. College principals will be responsible for creating accounts, which the application will use to track student attendance.

QR code based SAMS is an android application developed for daily attendance and record keeping of students in college. Each staff will be provided with an Android application which is used to take attendance and create an overall attendance status. The main objective of the Automated Attendance System is to computerize the traditional way of recording attendance and provide an efficient and automated way to track attendance in Government Colleges of Sindh.
