LONDON: London police under arrest Mutahidda Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain on suspicion of money laundering on Tuesday 3rd June 2014.
Scotland Yard confirmed that a 60 year old British-Pakistani man was under arrest on suspicion of money laundering.
The arrest took place today at a North West London property where police had earlier recovered £250,000.Scotland Yard officers were at present probing the address and they were not ready to discuss any further details at this stage.
MQM denies Altaf’s arrest
MQM leader Barrister Farogh Naseem told that London police have asked to record MQM chief Altaf Hussain’s statement but no arrest has been made so far.
MQM leader Nadeem Nusrat said that Altaf Hussain had not been under arrest and was present at his house in London.
