Allama Iqbal Open University BS/MBA/M.S/M.Phil/Ph.D Admission 2024

Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) will offer admissions to its M.Sc. (Hons), MS/M. Phil., and Ph.D. programs simultaneously throughout the nation. Dr. Hamid Khan Niazi, Director of the Board of Advanced Studies and Research (BASR), of the AIOU.

Allama Iqbal Open University Semester Fall 2024 (Phase-II) admission for BS, Associate Degree (BA), Teacher Training Programs (2 years, 2.5 years and 4 years), BBA Programs, Post Graduate Diploma including Certificate Courses ( 6 months) online admission submission date has been extended till November 7, 2024 without late fee. Current students can enroll for the next semester through CMS dated October 25, 2024.

According to Director BASR, admittance to Ph.D. programs (on an MS/M.Phil basis) would be available in agricultural extension, distance education, non-formal education, secondary teacher preparation, education planning and management (EPM), and special education. The secondary teacher education, educational planning and management (EPM), special education, science education, computer science, statistics, physics, environmental design, urdu, economics, management sciences, and Pakistani languages and literature, he said, would all offer admission to MS/M.Phil programs via distance, non-formal, and continuing education.

 

There would be M.Sc (Hons) programs in agricultural extension, livestock management, and rural development. He stated that the prospectus and admission forms may be obtained from the university website for a processing fee of Rs 500.

Admission to Ph.D. programs requires an M.Phil 1st division with a 3.0 GPA in the relevant subject as well as passing the NTS GAT (Subject) test with 60% of the possible points, while admission to M.Sc. (Hons), MS, and M.Phil. programs requires an M.Sc. 2nd division as well as passing the NTS GAT (General) test with 50% of the possible points. The results of the NTS, GAT (General/Subject) are valid for two years, according to Dr. Hamid Khan Niazi. He stated that students who passed the exam within this time frame but were not admitted might still apply.
