Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has announced October 15 as the last date for admission in its special programs for Semester Autumn 2024 . The M.Ed one-year program comprises five categories: elementary teacher education, teacher education, distance, and non-formal education, science education, and special education. The university has also offered a one-and-half-year B.Ed program with the eligibility of M.A/M.Sc qualification.

The eligibility criteria for 1.5 years B.Ed
MA/MS/BS/BA (Hons) 16 years of education
B. Ed program of 2.5 years
14 Years of education (2 years BA/BSc).
The university is also offering a BS in Education in Elementary education, secondary teacher education, and science education. BS or BA (Honours four-year) second division are qualified for admission in the program. Elementary education, secondary teacher education, and science education four-year duration has also been offered.
Eligibility for this program is intermediate with the second division.
According to the Director Admission, the curriculum and teaching pattern of the teaching-related programs has been revised to ensure their quality, as per the directives of the Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Zia-Ul-Qayyum.

The HEC has converted the one-year B.Ed program into four years on the basis of F.A. and FSc Education and the University was carrying its teaching program accordingly, so AIOU Stopped admissions in its previous B. Ed and M.Ed programs, but now with the revision in the policy, new revised B.Ed and M.Ed are re-launched.
