Returning Officer reserves decision on Imran Khan’s candidacy
RAWALPINDI/LAHORE: A decision on the nomination papers of PTI head Imran Khan from NA-56, Rawalpindi, was reserved by Returning Officer on Saturday. In Lahore also, Returning Officer took up objections against Imran Khan’s candidacy during a closed-door hearing.
According to sources, complainant demanded that Imran Khan should record his statement in the court. Khan’s lawyer told the court that his client could not come in person due to his busy schedule.
On this, the returning officer directed Khan’s lawyer to provide a copy of his client’s appeal or ask him to submit his affidavit personally.
