Islamabad:Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited has introduced One-Year Internship Program 2014 for the talented youth of Pakistan. The program enables fresh graduates to develop necessary skill-set and experience requisite to compete in today’s fast-paced and demanding job market.
This program is planned to develop and improve the capacity of our youth and we plan to explore such inventive approaches which serve the community in future.
50 top performers of first batch were also offered an opportunity to work as full-time employees at PTCL, while 100 interns were hired by various organizations upon completion of the one year term. The rigorous and challenging program also led to 283 more interns getting jobs during the continuity of the program.
This year another batch comprising of 500 interns has been selected after going through the assessment process. The successful interns have joined the program, with an increased stipend amounting to Rs. 15,000 per month.
This highly structured and complex program provides the youth an opportunity to work on the state-of-the-art technological platforms and exposure to best business practices, under the tutelage of industry gurus. Dubbed as Triple E, based on the principles of Engagement, Encouragement, and Evolution, this program ensures that these youngsters are imparted a thorough grounding for succeeding in the intensely competitive corporate world.
Under this particularly designed program last year, 500 university graduates were selected through a competitive process which provides them an opportunity to learn and enhance their skill sets by working on various real-life business challenges. To make the young graduates financially independent, handsome stipend is also provided during the course of the internship.
