President approves Protection of Pakistan Ordinance
Islamabad: President Mamnoon Hussain on Sunday approved the Protection of Pakistan Ordinance, a document that declares all miscreants as ‘enemies of the state’, and declares protection of life to be the peak priority of the state.
President Mamnoon Hussain approved the draft of ordinance upon the advice of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
The draft of the ordinance states that writ of the state will be established at any cost and new legislation will be introduced to get better the country’s deteriorating security situation. The ordinance pledges that immediate action and harshest punishment will be ensured against the troublemakers under the state laws.
It states that joint probe teams comprising intelligence agencies and law enforcement agencies personnel will be constituted to investigate the matters concerning terrorism and crimes
The ordinance also pledges that the state will take every possible resource and tactic for restoring peace in the country and will provide complete support and assistance to Civil and armed forces in their activities for enforcing law.
